“For me, photography is a kind of meditation ... when I’m outside in nature, I find peace. And when I have my camera with me, I forget the time.”

Even as a teenager I enjoyed taking photographs, of course initially in analogue form.

A trip to California along Highway 1 with my first SLR camera in my luggage really introduced me to photography. For me it was a revelation - knowledge of the technology was added over the years. And the love grew bigger and bigger.

I notice again and again that I am often fascinated by minimalist compositions and special lighting moods in photography. Finding these out in nature is one of my favorite things to do. Most of my photos are taken on trips to the north or on my doorstep.

I am more than happy that my photos have been so well received, that some of the images were already available at IKEA, e.g. on canvas, and that I am now able to publish my own photography calendar in German-speaking bookstores for the fourth year in a row, together with Heye Verlag.
